A question I regularly get is what is the difference between shellac nail polish and regular nail polish? Well, here is the answer!
Shellac in an acrylic gel nail polish, which is painted directly onto your nail. But when it dries it sets like a fake nail. So it’s like having a fake nail painted on, making it far stronger than normal nail polish.
First off, start with a normal manicure, cut cuticles, file nail, and buff nails etc. Then get your UV light (which you can get in to starter kit) and sit It on the table. Start with a base coat, then two colour coats, and finally a top coat. As you get with an manicure. After this you put them under the UV light for 3 minutes to allow to set.
The great thing about these are there is no drying time after the top coats are dry, they are rock hard! So you can go about your day straight away without having to worry about smudging them!
My favourite thing about shellac nail kits are they do NOT chip! Honestly, you don’t need to hold back with these on, you’d struggle to chip these things even if you were trying to do it deliberately!
I get a lot of people that are worried about damage to their nails, but fear not! If you remove them carefully and correctly then there is no damage to your nails at all. So don’t worry about that! Your nails are also strengthened when using shellac, so there is less chance of you breaking a nail, which is always nice!
All in all I am a huge fan of Shellac. They are very cheap for the amazing quality you get, and they look 100 times better than normal polish.
Another thing I noticed when I was using shellac was I get so many compliments about my nails! I love getting compliments and being able to tell people how I got them They always try them out and say they will never go back! That’s the reason I decided to write this!
